It’s been over 10 years since Tony, Carmela, Paulie, and the rest of the gang appeared on screen, which is approximately how much time we needed to deal with that ending. Now, having come to terms with the way The Sopranos closed up shop, we’re ready for more Jersey mob life, and David Chase is happy to appease. Penned by Chase, The Many Saints of Newark is a prequel film to the groundbreaking HBO series. According to Deadline, the movie is set in Newark during the race riots of the 1960s and is expected to feature some of the characters from The Sopranos. New Line Cinema has purchased the rights to the film, so now we just have to sit back and wait.
