It’s a bold claim, but it could be argued that Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is the greatest album of all time. If you are a subscriber to that theory with some serious spending cash, this auction is going to be of interest. Hitting Julien’s Auctions, as part of the “Music Icons 2017″ auction, is John Lennon’s original sketch for the cover of the Beatles’ iconic album. Discovered in Lennon’s old home in Surrey, England, the 4.25” doodle is clearly close to the final album artwork, with the name of the album on the bass drum and other details appearing on both. If you want to own this legendary sketch, which is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, you can expect to drop anywhere from $40,000–$60,000.
