Designer Mikhail Smolyanov has created a detailed rendering of a transparent motorcycle made out of bullet-proof glass, and the appropriately named Nu’Clear is utterly mesmerizing. The glass makes it possible to see most of the componentry, making it a rolling work of modern art. Even the wheels are transparent for optimal effect. The multi-layered glass tank has blue LED backlighting for that “Cherenkov radiation” look. While the glass is prevalent, fear not. Smolyanov states that the main structure makes use of steel in the subframe, as well as steel for the brakes and handlebars, of course. The futuristic flat track-style moto can even accommodate either a standard combustion engine or make use of a battery-electric powertrain. It’s just a concept for now, but it has the potential to see the light of production.
