Netflix ‘HOMEMADE’ Short Film Series

Netflix ‘HOMEMADE’ Short Film Series

There’s no denying the fact that Netflix has been keeping us all sane during the quarantine. But even that social contract is going to change for the better next week with their release of the HOMEMADE short film series. Billed as “Acclaimed filmmakers from around the world channel their creativity during COVID-19 isolation with this diverse, genre-spanning collection of short films,” HOMEMADE is escapist porn in the truest sense of the phrase as visualized through the lens of iconic filmmakers and actors you’ve come to know and love. As participant Kristen Stewart puts it, “Art that is born of restriction has a way of becoming itself in a surprising and cosmic sort of way and short films by nature don’t have to abide by any rules which really opens up the idea of what a movie can do. I was so grateful for and liberated by this idea. It was a huge gift to be encouraged to make something out of this strange nothingness. I hope this series inspires people to do the same.” We hope you’re all making the best of your quarantine. You can catch HOMEMADE when it begins streaming on June 30th, only on Netflix.
