Whether you’re talking about Tesla, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Renault, Audi, Rolls-Royce, Polestar, Sony, or any other large manufacturer, we’ve covered hundreds of concept cars over the past few decades. There are quite a few concept car options from over the years that we’ll always be partial to, but when it comes to defining the true purpose of a concept car, nothing checks all the boxes like the Marc Newson Ford 021C Concept Car you see here. Designed, fabricated, and then built at the historic Carrozzeria Ghia in Turin, Italy, this concept includes incredible innovations like a wraparound, retractable trunk that opens like a drawer, reverse-suicide doors with a “pillarless” interior, single horizontal headlight and rear light, illuminated interior ceiling, hovering instrument panel, 90-degree swivel seats, custom Pirelli tires, and the list goes on and on. Sure, it looks like the Dreamsicle equivalent of a custom car, but we’d happily drive this dreamboat seven days a week–even if the original Marc Newson Ford 021C Concept Car is from a decade ago.
