If you mention “Kurt Cobain” and “music memorabilia” in the same sentence, someone will be interested in purchasing whatever it is you’re talking about. Now’s your chance to take your love of all things Nirvana to the next level and own a guitar Kurt Cobain smashed on stage. This isn’t just any Aria Pro II Cardinal Series broken guitar body, either. This is the same guitar that Cobain picked up for the last song of the set and then smashed on stage at the Motorsports International Garage Show in Seattle in late 1990. The same guitar, in fact, that would ultimately end up on the cover of Nirvana Live 1994. This unique piece of music history is being auctioned off at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City on May 19, 2018, as part of Julien’s MUSIC ICONS 2018 event. The event also features other rare music memorabilia from an artist list that ranges from The Beatles to Bob Dylan.
