The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is a great adventure bike that hits the model line’s middle sweet spot. The folks at famed Deus Ex Machina developed their own version of the Ténéré 700 for its annual Swank Rally during Wheels & Waves recently. And they created one that looks Dakar Rally-ready. The bike was inspired by Cyril Neveu’s Yamaha XT500 which was the first moto to win the category in the grueling endurance race back in 1979. The Deus version gets a new tank cover, integrated seat-fender, a revised suspension, and a small flyscreen that replaces the fairing. The yellow and white colorway mimics Yamaha’s classic Speedblock livery. No word on whether or not this will hit the next Dakar, but it would be cool if it did and repeated Neveu’s win.
