British manufacturer Caterham has been producing their unique breed of open-air, enthusiast-based, driving-focused cars for the better part of half a century. The brand has evolved even further since the Caterham Seven 310 that was widely applauded as one of the best modern car releases with their latest, the Caterham Seven 170. This most recent release complies with all of current owner VT Holdings Japanese car importer requirements while still having an incredibly impressive Suzuki 660cc three-cylinder, turbocharged-engine outputting 84 horsepower and 86 pound-feet of torque (170 horsepower per English ton as it were), mated to a five-speed manual gearbox that delivers power directly to the rear wheels for maximum fun and even some donuts. The Caterham Seven 170 will hit 60mph in just under seven seconds on its way to the max of just over 100 miles per hour. That might not seem like a lot, but it’s more than enough when you’re rolling in a vehicle this stylish.
