When we heard that “The Last Buick Grand National Ever Built” was crossing the auction block during the annual Barret-Jackson Scottsdale event we knew it was going to be a huge deal. What we didn’t know is that said auction would also include two pristine 1987 Buick GNX vehicles from the original 547 produced at varying mileages. Don’t get us wrong, the Last Buick Grand National Ever Built will always hold a special place in our hearts, but when it comes to The ’80s Cars We Love, the GNX is always gonna eek out its non-performance older brother on account of the co-development with McLaren, incredible performance and even more limited numbers. Barrett-Jackson somehow got their hands on two separate 1987 Buick GNX cars from the original limited run of 547. Both exceptional versions of the 1987 Buick Grand National “GNX” automobile are set to roll across the block during Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale 2022 auction taking place in January of 2022 in Scottsdale.
