Cuckoo clocks normally look like they belong in small cottages owned by elderly grandmothers residing in the Austrian Alps. These, however, are not your normal cuckoo clocks. Guido Zimmerman, a German artist, created a collection of Brutalist cuckoo clocks entitled “Cuckoo Blocks” that we’d love to toss on the wall in our living room, which is definitely not a living room owned by an old lady in the Black Forest. Drawing inspiration from city life, the clocks boast a distinctly more urban feel than the German and Swiss clocks of old. Unfortunately the clocks aren’t for sale, but you can view more of Zimmerman’s work at his website.
