As much as we’re all for the modern iterations of great trucks like the recently revived Ford Bronco and its ilk, we’ll always be more excited by vintage SUVs like the Land Rover Defender we grew up wanting to pilot. Combining the best of both worlds, everyone’s favorite British SUV brand recently revealed the 2022 Land Rover Defender Trophy Edition, a collection of 220 limited-production vehicles that honor the 70-year legacy while also being built with all the modern bells, whistles, creature comforts, and performance parts that make you okay with signing off on the price tag. We’re talking about upgrades like a front skidplate, off-road tires, roof ladder and rack, heated steering wheel, air suspension, 11.4″ touchscreen, and the same twin-charged 395hp I-6 engine that made the base model P400 so popular. In addition to all those upgrades, on the purely cosmetic side, it gets a whole host of special yellow and black paint/wrap upgrades in the process.
