There’s nothing quite like a vacation in one of the more remote parts of Italy, but if you want something completely off the beaten path and you like spending time on the slopes, there’s nothing better than The Starlight Room. Situated in the Dolomites near Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, The Starlight Room is a tiny cabin built by local artisans out of regional materials that is designed to showcase the beauty of the world around you. Once you get to the cabin, which is so remote it’s best accessed by snowmobile, you’ll spend nights under the stars and hit the slopes as early you want the next day. If it doesn’t sound exclusive enough, you’ll also probably need a translator just to book a reservation… by phone.
