The Silo House began its life as a corrugated steel-wall grain silo in 1955. In other words, it was designed to hold grain, not people. Then Kaiser Works got their hands on it and converted it into a tiny home. The Silo House is a two-story abode with a walnut and black steel staircase that hugs the inside wall, allowing residents to traverse the two small floors. The top floor is where you’ll find the bedroom, which features some closet space, shelving, and an all wood motif. The main floor features large glass doors that open to small rock-filled yard, along with plenty of custom kitchen cabinetry and other pieces. Kaiser Works did an incredible job of keeping the floor plan open, which must have been challenging with the curving walls, so while this is an old, small grain silo, it doesn’t look too cramped.
