Xmera Bionic eBike

Xmera Bionic eBike

If you think eBikes are a fad, think again. More mainstream and niche bike manufacturers are getting into the tech, and soon they’ll be ubiquitous and someday more affordable. Xmera has created a different spin on the eBike with their Bionic. Not only does it look different, resembling a small scrambler motorcycle without the engine, it also provides electric pedal and uses the Internet of Things by tracking the important stuff like heart rate, distance, and calories. But it’s more than just data. The included fitness band sends info to the bike to adjust pedal assist levels with auto and dynamic modes. There will be two models offered: a 750-watt model good for up to 20 mph and a 250-watt model that will top out at 16 mph. The battery in both bikes has a range of 37 to 120 miles on a full charge (depending on use), and there’s even an available backup battery to eke out more miles. Check it out on Indiegogo where it’s already surpassed its goal with a month left in the campaign.
