Timeless Kustoms 1954 Corvette ‘Death Star’

Timeless Kustoms 1954 Corvette ‘Death Star’

Timeless Kustoms, the shop responsible for the 1969 Twin Turbo Camaro and the Vicious Mustang, are seemingly incapable of building anything that isn’t insane, gorgeous and worthy of the Timeless name. It’s in that spirit that we take a trip into their archives for a build that’s almost a decade old—the 1954 Corvette you see here. Affectionately referred to as the Death Star, this classic car is powered by one of the first C6 ZR1 LS9 crate engines and outputs close to six hundred horsepower. That’s a ridiculous power number even before you consider the fact that the entire car weighs only 2,100 pounds. It wouldn’t be a Timeless Kustoms creation if each and every other thing wasn’t attended to, so there’s also fresh paint, a custom Art Morrison chassis, C6 front suspension and three-link rear suspension, Brembo brakes, forged wheels, and the list just keeps going. In other words, this is a cruising hot rod that more than lives up to its Death Star name.
