The Lotus C-01 is the Hyperbike from the Future

Here’s what we know about motorcycles: They go fast, have room for one or two, and if it snows, you’re f’ed. Here’s what we know about Lotus: They make sweet rides. So when the legendary British manufacturer of the Elise, Evora, and Esprit announced they were throwing their hat in the hyperbike ring, we took notice. Ok, so technically it isn’t built by Lotus but it certainly enjoys the style of its namesake. Specs are limited but include a 200 horsepower 4 stroke motor wrapped in a sleek, Tron-like combination of aerospace steel, titanium, and carbon fiber. So lets put that 200 hp into perspective – the ridiculous Suzuki Hayabusa, when released did 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 secs with a top speed somewhere near 200mph – with 159 hp. The C-01 has 200hp and weighs less than 400 pounds. Check it out.
