While it’s all conjecture at this point in time, this BMW Z4 Concept is amazing. Does it look like a Jaguar F-Type SVR without a roof and a BMW grill? Yes. Is this going to ultimately be the base for the new Supra since BMW and Toyota have been working on a two-seat, rear-wheel sports car? Probably. Do we have any more definitive information about the powerplant, price point or available options? Nope. If rumors are to be believed, it’s going to start with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with around 200 horsepower with optional upgrades in the engine and transmission department. What we do know is that there is some version of the Z4 that will see production in 2019, and there’s no reason it wouldn’t be based on this concept because this is a car we absolutely want to drive. But until we actually see production specs or images from BMW (or Toyota, for that matter) we’re all left wondering what car we’re going to be ogling in two years time.
