Tesla Le Mans 2030 Race Car

Tesla Le Mans 2030 Race Car

Imagine, if you will, the year 2030. Our roadways are filled with self-driving vehicles. Accidents are down and traffic is all of a sudden something you look forward to, as it gives you time to finish another episode of The Simpsons, which is still, inexplicably, on the air. What will auto racing look like at this time? If you’re designers Jereon Claus and Fabian Brees, you believe people will still yearn to watch humans race against humans, only they’ll be doing it in all-electric vehicles. That’s the idea behind the duos Tesla La Mans 2030 Concept, a race car they concocted for the Michelin Design Challenge. Inspired by actual Tesla design, the duo imagined this ride as an entry into the 2030 Le Mans. It’s outfitted with augmented reality and virtual reality tech, so enthusiasts can experience what racing is like for themselves, along with 3D-printed airless tires. What don’t know if this is what the future will hold, but we remain cautiously optimistic.
