If you’re tired of all the existing commuter options in regard to traditional modes of transportation, why not show up to the gig in an armored vehicle? With Terradyne’s new Gurkha CIV, that’s a real possibility. This road-ready vehicle started life as a Ford F550 with a 6.7 L V8 turbo diesel that produced 330 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque. From there, it was extensively customized by Terradyne to transform into a civilian version of the company’s existing armored vehicles. The armor is optional in the Gurkha CIV edition, but that doesn’t make this absolute beast any less badass when it comes to crazy street legal vehicles. Despite the fact that Terradyne doesn’t officially publish pricing on their website, a few different Gurkha models have ended up on the secondary market with prices as high as $500k. If you want to go direct, you’ll have to reach out to Terradyne directly.
