Studio Motor Yamaha XS650 ‘The Skinny’

Studio Motor Yamaha XS650 ‘The Skinny’

Indonesia’s Studio Motor has created a truly special vintage-style Speedway bike based on a midsize 1980 Yamaha XS650 cruiser. ‘The Skinny’ is inspired from drifting oval-track racers, and it looks like it came straight from the early 20th century when this type of racing circuit was popular in New Zealand and Australia. The Skinny looks nothing like the conventional base bike, and it gets reworked with custom-fabricated body panels, artful fenders and tank, a low-slung frame, shortened wheelbase, new forks in front and back, TK Japan rims, new brakes, a sleek black leather solo seat, and an arresting set of flame-shooting hand-crafted gold drag pipes. The Skinny also received an important complete engine overhaul inside and out, and the result is more beauty and more power to make it track-worthy.
