When we first laid eyes on the Patriot Campers LC79 Supertourer—aka the “Black Truck”—we were convinced it was one of the most badass and capable trucks on or off the trail. That’s still true to this day, but it now has a brother in the Patriot Campers LC200 Supertourer, which we might like just a little bit more. What started as a 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Sahara dual-cab tourer—which is, to be fair, a damn good truck in its own right—was transformed into the beast you see here after it got the Patriot Campers treatment. The back was ripped off, and it was given a frame extension to accommodate all the drawers, boxes and cabinets that would ultimately get fitted to the vehicle. The stock twin-turbo diesel V8 was upgraded with larger GCG turbos, a larger intercooler and a Unichip engine management system. There’s also a Rhino Rack complete with two Goal Zero solar panels, retractable awning, Hi-Lift jack and shovel. You’ll also find plenty of XRay LED lights, front and rear winches, built-in dog carrier, a full stage six icon suspension traditionally seen on competition trucks and, well, you get the idea—this is one badass truck.
