Motorcar Studio Made Another Pristine International Harvester Scout II

Over the years, Atlanta-based Motorcar Studio has become synonymous with impeccable restorations of the International Scout, particularly the 1976 International Scout II. They turned one into a bright yellow beach cruiser with a soft top. The did another one as a murdered out daily driver. And now, they’re back with another in a decidedly vintage olive green with white top and matte black rallye stripe paint job. The color scheme is different, but the work and the features are every bit as great as their previous builds. 345 cubic inch V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission under the hood. Dana T143 single-speed transfer case (a factory option for all Scout IIs that was rarely ordered) with a pull knob on the dash to select four-wheel drive instead of a second shift knob. Mickey Thompson 17″ Deegan wheels wrapped in 285/70 Kenda Klever R/Ts. It also has power steering, power disk brakes and air conditioning to complete the modern performance and creature comforts meets retro look that Motorcar Studio does so well.
