When it comes to the best vehicles to survive the zombie apocalypse, few would argue with the selection of an original Hummer. It’s built to go just about anywhere and rugged enough to survive the trip, but it’s also stylish in its own right. Mil-Spec Automotive, a small studio outside of Detroit, took everything great about the original Hummer H1 and made it even better with their Launch Edition. Hand-built and assembled from the ground up in Wichita by a team of specialists working from a donor H1, each Launch Edition combines powerful upgrades under the hood with luxury interiors. We’re talking about a hand-built and electronically controlled 6.6 liter, 500 horsepower, 1,000 ft/lbs of torque turbo diesel engine paired with an Allison 1000 transmission and aerospace grade aluminum construction with an in-house developed interior. In short, not the standard kinds of upgrades you’d expect in a classic military truck. The MSA Hummer Launch Edition is available in five different cab configurations. Four door options include a Hardtop Pickup, Hardtop Slant-Back, Hardtop Wagon and Hardtop SUV, and there’s also the two door Hardtop Extended Bed Pickup.
