Metro Skyways CityHawk eVTOL Flying Car Concept

Metro Skyways CityHawk eVTOL Flying Car Concept

Whether you’re talking Vertical Aerospace, Jetpack Aviation, Aston Martin, Hyundai or Uber, almost every major car or aviation firm is developing their vision of the flying car of the future. We’re still not sold on people being able to handle traffic in three dimensions, but the Metro Skyways CityHawk eVTOL Flying Car Concept is a promising new addition to the sky. Unlike other options on the market, the CityHawk uses a twin-engine fan design and electric power for significantly less noise (about the same as the noise on the sidewalk when a car speeds by) and has an FAA certification for “Category A” takeoffs. This “FanCraft” technology also allows it to hit a top speed of 168mph and a max range of 93 miles. Inside, there’s enough room to comfortably seat six (including a pilot) and the cabin can be rearranged to accommodate different seating configurations or even a stretcher for emergency services purposes.
