If you’re looking to outfit your garage with something a little more uncommon, now’s your chance to own a vintage Mercedes-Benz Unimog fire truck. This 1987 Mercedes-Benz Unimog Doka U1300L currently has a clean Massachusetts title but lived a former life as a French Alpine fire engine and still wears the paint job to prove it. The short-wheelbase truck is powered by a 5.6L six-cylinder OM532a diesel engine and outfitted with a second 1.4L Renault to power the water pump for the firefighting apparatus. The second engine is functional and the truck has the firehose reel, but you’re going to have to provide your own firehose to use it. Inside, the relatively sparse interior is trimmed with brown cloth upholstery up front and vinyl jumpseats in the rear. The badass former fire truck that’s also a Unimog needs a small amount of work but only has 27,000 miles on the odometer and includes extensive service records from the French municipality that originally owned it.
