In order to celebrate half a century of Mercedes-AMG, the brand just unveiled a new GT Concept. The four-door sports car hybrid combines the hallmark AMG GT look and characteristics with muscular proportions and enough tech to make even your inner nerd lose his mind. A twin-turbo 4.0L V8 is paired with a rear wheel connected electric motor to give you up to 805 horsepower across three different modes (gas, electric, combined). Front to back you’ll find: a Panamericana grill with red accent ribs, slim headlights, a hood that reaches across the sides to the wheel wells, spoked wheels that show off the brakes, cameras in place of side mirrors, a sloping rear end, horizontal tail lamps and central exhaust. Whether you prefer the term sedan or saloon, this is one gorgeous machine that also happens to be fast as hell. This is still a concept at this point, but Mercedes did say the show car is meant to be a sneak preview of the design of the coming production model, so it is going to get produced in some capacity at some point.
