The Jeep CJ was beloved by off-road enthusiasts who happened to like the wind in their hair while they carved up terrain. Mahindra is an automaker that wants to reintroduce that pleasure. The Roxor is, basically, a new Jeep CJ. Powered by a diesel engine, the Roxor is a made in the USA vehicle that borrows both style and operational elements from the classic Jeep. (Jalopnik did a nice breakdown of a lot of these similarities.) While the Roxor looks very much like an old CJ, it really should challenge in the UTV market, as it’s unfortunately not street legal. That’s reflected in the capped top speed of 45 mph, which is plenty fun for off-roading but quite a nuisance if this thing were to go on a highway.
