John Platt is a unit stills photographer with three decades of film industry work that got the opportunity to shoot all the vehicles (aka the real stars of the show) from Mad Max: Fury Road before they got filthy. “Before the Dirt – The Cars of Mad Max: Fury Road” is Platt’s gorgeous photographic gallery of the rat rods, motorcycles, station wagons, hot rods, trucks, exposed engines, harpoon guns, shotguns, spears and flaming lances before all the fire, explosions, death, dirt and muck made them even more beautiful and post apocalyptic. Even cleaned up and set in a studio space, each of the vehicles is energetic, gorgeous and, in theory, a helluva lot of fun to ride or drive. Check out more of John Platt’s work on Behance.
