Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations revealed the upcoming Discovery SVX at the Frankfurt IAA show, and they’re billing it as “the ultimate Discovery for off-road enthusiasts seeking epic adventures.” The full specs sheet and performance stats aren’t available yet, because this is only a preview of what the production model will be, but there are a few things you can start drooling about. 525PS 5.0-liter supercharged V8. Specially tuned Terrain Response 2 system that works with the electronic rear locking differentials. Active Roll Control. Increased ground clearance, body and suspension lifts. Large all-terrain tires. Even without a full sheet to examine, the images are compelling enough to leave us with the impression that this version of the Land Rover Discovery is good for a whole hell of a lot more than just making a statement while you’re driving to the local coffee shop or running errands. After all, who doesn’t want to hang their brand new Land Rover off a cliff from the rear winch?
