Lancia Cargo Stratos Concept

Lancia Cargo Stratos Concept

Despite the fact it only comes up in conversation with die-hard gearheads and rally fans, ever since the Lancia Stratos rolled off the line it has been an absolute powerhouse. The World Rally Championship conquering automobile was based on a Ferrari F430 Scuderia and performed better than the source car, but the more lasting impact was the Lancia Stratos Zero concept unveiled in the 70s with its unique, cutting-edge, wedge-shape that looked more like a doorstop with wheels than a car that would actually see production. The iconic form of that concept would go on to inspire decades of automobiles that included the Lamborghini Countach, but recent interest has dwindled unless you’re a concept designer. The Lancia Cargo Stratos Concept is an even more extreme, modern version of the original concept that includes everything from integrated LED lights to a cockpit-entry system and turns all of the dials up to 11. The Lancia Cargo Stratos is only a concept that exists digitally at this point, but if the brand were to tap Joaquin Obligado to make it a reality, we’d be the first people in line to buy one.
