Love riding your motorcycle but want to skip all the potholes, traffic congestion and limited access of traditional road riding? Get a flying motorcycle! Seriously. Jetpack Aviation (JPA) is building the world’s first flying motorcycle for both recreational and commercial / military applications. It’s said to be the first turbine-powered, fully-stabilized, vertical take off and landing (VTOL) aircraft ever built, and it has the stats to justify the almost half a million dollar price tag. Greater than 150mph top speed. Up to half an hour of flying time. 1,200lbs of max thrust. 15,000ft max altitude. As you’ve probably gathered by now, those stats are specifically for the Experimental Category Version of the Speeder that still requires a private pilot’s license to operate. If you want the Recreational Version that doesn’t require a license, JPA will provide training, but that craft is limited to 5 gallons of fuels and 60mph top speed. The Speeder is a futuristic, freaky fun, flying motorcycle that could be your vehicle of choice in the future–if you have the coin and you’re willing to go through pilot training.
