Jeep Wrangler ‘Tomahauk’

In Chambersburg, PA, you’ll find Hauk Designs, the home of Kenny Hauk’s garage and workspace where his team builds and customizes some serious off-road vehicles. Hauk combines iconic American things with off-road vehicles. In the case of the Tomahauk, that involved an old school Jeep Wrangler and a WWII era bomber. So what’s it take to turn an existing Jeep Wrangler frame and body into a capable rock crawler that looks like on old school bomber? Pretty much a complete rebuild. LS3 crate motor. Icon 16″ coilovers and new 1-ton axles. J.E. Reel 1350 driveshafts. 4L80E automatic transmission. Custom dash. Turbonetics twin turbos that stick out of the hood like machine guns. Custom aluminum body. WWII era gauges, levers, seatbelts, swtiches and headsets. 17″ Beadlock wheels wrapped in 44″ Pitbull rocket tires. WWII air tanks turned into auxiliary fuel tanks. The Tomahauk feels like something that would come out of a shop with a TV show like Fast N’ Loud or Overhaulin’, which makes sense because Road Hauks is a show on History with full details on the build.
