This Is the Winner of Indian Motorcycle’s ‘The Wrench’ Competition
In partnership with Hot Bike, Indian Motorcycle staged The Wrench, a Scout Bobber build-off where three finalists were each given a donor bike and ten grand to make their dreams reality. Top honors, a spread in Hot Bike, and a grand prize of $10,000 went to Alfredo “Fred” Juarez. From the beginning, Indian knew they had a very unique contestant in Juarez because he submitted an entry that was drawn-to-scale with measurements he took from a Scout at a local dealership and a concept that, as they describe it, had “style and blow but also the engineering and mechanical aspects that only a real builder would include.” Juarez’s imagining of the Indian Scout Bobber included, among other things, an exposed frame and kicked-up tank designed to showcase all of the elements that make the stock bike such a beautiful piece of machinery. We can’t imagine anything less than this level of perfection from a man with a day job as a Lead Flammability Test Engineer for NASA (yeah, he gets paid to burn things going into space for a living), and we can only hope Indian decides to produce a few for the rest of us to ride around.
