Ford GT “Merkury 4”

Ford GT “Merkury 4”

The third-generation of the Ford GT might be the most exotic with its flying buttresses and tapered body, but Chief Designer Camilo Pardo loves the gen 2 car the most, and it echoes the gen-1 (GT40) legend from Le Mans the most in terms of design. Now, a super-rare gen-2 GT is up for sale, and it’s known as the Merkury 4, a customized version of the American supercar. The donor GT received a total reworking supervised by Pardo, himself, and it includes a healthy power bump from the original and ample 550 to a supercharged 725. The exterior gets a new lustrous Mirrachrome Abstract paint job with famed and very popping orange Gulf racing livery, as well as black HRE center lock wheels. The Merkury 4 is the third car in a series of eight Camilo Signature Series cars, and it even won the 2015 Best in Show at the 10th Annual Ford GT National Rally in Detroit. With a mere 4,000 miles on the odo, this special GT’s sale price is only $750K, which seems like a real bargain for a singularly special supercar.
