Faraday Future’s FF91 Is a Tesla Challenger

For a long time, it’s felt like Tesla has had a monopoly on functional electric cars. The Nissan Leaf might have provided some competition, but most of us were holding out for something more futuristic. But the FF91 might finally be what creates the futuristic electric car arms race we’ve been waiting for. Faraday Future’s vehicle will have a range of 378 miles, will do 0-60 in less than 2 and a half seconds, and will charge to 50% in a 240V plug (a plug more for large appliances than cell phone chargers), matching or exceeding Tesla in most areas. Not only is the car all-electric, but Faraday Future is going tech heavy on the car, with all kinds of sensors and cameras, enabling autonomous driving and the Driverless Valet. Production won’t start until 2018, but if you think this is something you’re going to want, buy a reservation now. There’s going to be some serious demand for these and, like Tesla, it’ll probably be years before you can buy one off the lot.
