The people behind the iconic bowtie logo have finally revealed details about the 2019 Corvette ZR1. It’s the fastest and most powerful production Corvette ever, and more than lives up to the “return of the king” title they’re selling it with. LT5 6.2L V-8 supercharged engine that has an SAE-certified 755 ponies with 715 lb-ft of torque. Wind tunnel-honed aerodynamics packages that can generate up to 950 pounds of downforce. Seven-speed manual or eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. And it doesn’t hurt that it looks mean as hell thanks in no small part to the fact that the supercharger is so big they had to give it a special carbon fiber bulge in the middle that’s reminiscent of an old school shaker hood. Oh yeah, and it’s quoted as having a top speed of “over 210 mph” in case all the rest of the specs didn’t blow your mind already. The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is set to go on sale next spring with a price tag commensurate with its absurd performance and styling.
