Automotive designer Giordano Vittorini interned at General Motors a handful of years ago, but we’re willing to bet reimagining one of those projects more than half a decade later was something he thought would happen. Such is the case with the Chevrolet Abyssal Mk2 ATV Concept you see here. Originally drawn up with a mission “to cross the world in any kind of climate situation”, this reimagined concept is a lot less “traditional Chevy vehicle” and a lot more “vehicle from a Ridley Scott Alien film as imagined by Elon Musk for a Tesla collaboration.” Honestly, we have absolutely no problem with that because this concept vehicle is nothing short of amazing. The Abyssal Mk2 ATV Concept has all the build specs and trimmings you want in a futuristic, all-terrain exploration vehicle–easily accessible crew cab (thanks to the vertically opening windshield) with heads-up display and touch-sensitive controls, plenty of cargo storage space in the bed, all electric drivetrain (so fuel isn’t an issue), and a wheels and tires package built with eight separate rubber segments to be bullet-proof, puncture-proof and capable of withstanding everything that Earth–or any other planet for that matter–could possibly throw at you.
