Byton Electric SUV

Byton Electric SUV

The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as “CES,” kicked off today in Vegas and that means a bevy of interesting new gizmos and gadgets. While most won’t be worth your time, here’s one that is. This is the Byton SUV, an all-electric crossover decked out in desirable tech with a price tag that isn’t in Tesla territory. While still a concept, the SUV is expected to come in a few different packages, with the base promising 272 horsepower and a range of around 250 miles. Those numbers can get bumped up should you be willing to shell out the cash, and all will feature incredibly fast charging times that deliver an 80% charge in about half an hour. Inside you’ll find a huge touchscreen display that covers a good portion of the dash and an 8″ touchscreen on the steering wheel. Plus it will recognize gestures and deliver health information while you drive. We’ll have to wait and see how close this is to the actual vehicle that rolls off the line, but if it is similar, we’re going to want one.
