It seems like every other day there’s a new electric bike coming to market. We understand the concept being all the rage these days because electric bikes are great. The only problem we have with the current crop is that the overall designs are divided into two distinct categories: a traditional bike frame with a battery strapped to it, or some tangram-esque collection of geometric shapes with wheels attached. The upcoming Brekr Model B Electric Bike out of the Netherlands breaks that mold with a design that’s best described as futuristic cafe racer. In addition to the striking profile, Brekr is doing things differently on the performance side as well. It has a top speed of 28 miles per hour and a max range of 50 miles on a single battery, but it has the ability to hold a second so you can double your range. It’s also built with a unique aluminum frame that makes it lighter than your average scooter and improves maneuvering. They even built in synth/motor sounds so people will hear you coming. You can reserve your very own Brekr Model B right now, but the expected release isn’t until Spring 2020.
