If we’re being completely honest, there are only two or three things that have ever come from the BMW motorcycle brand–aka BMW Motorrad–that we haven’t loved. And in fairness, they were concept scooters that we just couldn’t see ourselves riding if they were ever produced. Point being, BMW Motorrad only creates greatest hits, and the Vision DC Roadster is the perfect example of this. As much as we’d like to convince ourselves otherwise because of our love of “petrol engines,” the future is electric. BMW is embracing this with the new Vision DC Roadster Concept Motorcycle that includes familiar DNA from the likes of the Vision Next 100 Concept while also being approachable, looking like a motorcycle you’re familiar with and, well, actually being possible. Sure, the 2-cylinder boxer engine that’s been a fixture for a century is gone, but in its place you get an obscene amount of torque, zero emissions and probably a tax credit towards the purchase–without having to sacrifice anything in the style department. If that’s not something you’re interested in–if this beautiful bike ever goes into production–we’ll happily take your place in line.
