The scrambler. By definition, it’s a road bike personalized and upgraded for use on any kind of terrain. But to the riders, it’s much more. The scrambler means freedom, to go anywhere and everywhere your heart takes you. Making its debut at Europe’s Wheels & Waves Festival is the BMW Concept Path22, a modern interpretation of the ’50s era scramblers. Developed by BMW Motorrad, the Path22 is based on the R nineT and features artwork courtesy of Southsiders club and Ornamental Conifer and Mason Dyer crafted leather and aluminum surfboard rack. But what’s up with the name? Well, BMW named this scrambler for Europe’s most secret surfing location accessed by a long walk on a path, marked only with a 22.
