The BMW R nineT is one of the most celebrated bikes that’s ever been created, and the retro-styled new BMW R nineT motorcycles are no slouch in the looks or performance departments, either. Designer Mehmet Doruk Erdem takes the idea of the BMW R nineT and completely transforms it into something new and exciting with his newest project titled Aurora. Erdem’s BMW Aurora Concept Motorcycle–commissioned by Istanbul’s GB Motobike–is a low slung, single exhaust behemoth that, in the artist’s words “is going to be the best customized BMW R nineT on this planet.” We can’t personally confirm or deny that claim until we actually see this bike on the street–which is difficult given that it’s only a concept–but based completely on looks alone, it seems like the renowned artist might be on to something. If nothing else, the solid wheels, sleek lines and attention to overall detail make this one of the best concepts we’ve seen in ages.
