Bitlock Keyless Bike Lock

Do you remember when getting into your car and actually going somewhere required two separate keys? Are we the only ones that remember a time when keyless entry for cars didn’t exist? People are going to be asking themselves similar questions in a few years once everyone is using keyless entry systems for their bike U-locks, too. Bitlock is the first that we’ve seen. Using bluetooth, Bitlock senses proximity of your device to the lock and automatically locks or unlocks when you’re within, or out of, a three foot radius. That alone would make the project worth supporting, but the Bitlock app also records the bike location, maps your ride, calories burned and how much CO2 you saved. This could very well be the best bike lock ever.
