Ever since we first laid eyes on the 2019 Ford Ranger, we immediately wanted to know when it was going to get turned into a baby Raptor. It was glorious. Unfortunately, while the Ranger itself has officially landed stateside, according to Road & Track, Ford has no plans to bring the current Ranger Raptor we all know and love to North America at this time. Hennessey took matters into their own hands with the 2019 Hennessey VelociRaptor Ford Ranger. As with all things Hennessey, and the VelociRaptor line in particular, the name of the game is stylish absurdity. The already capable 2.3L turbo EcoBoost that comes stock and outputs 270 hp has gotten almost a thirty percent power increase to bring it to 350 bhp. They also kicked the torque up to 385 lb-ft from 310 lb-ft. It also got a high-flow air induction system, new catback exhaust and ECU tuning that decrease the 0-60 speed to a blistering (for a pickup truck) 6.1 seconds. In order to keep all that power in check, they also added new suspension, lifted it, and slapped on a new wheel and tire package. They’re only making 500 of these bad boys, so get yours quick if you want one.
