The Dodge Durango SRT Is America’s Fastest Three-Row SUV

The Dodge Durango SRT Is America’s Fastest Three-Row SUV

Dodge just pulled the cover off the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT at the Chicago Auto Show. The vehicle that looks like a minivan mated with a truck is billed as “America’s Fastest Three-Row SUV.” A 392 Hemi V8 that puts out 475 horsepower was borrowed from the Challenger T/A (which is a fantastic car in its own right) to create a great, full-size family hauler that’s no slouch in the 0-60 or quarter mile departments either. The 0-60 time is reported to be 4.4 seconds with a quarter mile time just south of 13 seconds, so this is a vehicle you can use to drop your kids off at soccer practice before heading to the drag strip. The Durango SRT is also outfitted with an eight-speed automatic, all-wheel drive, suspension upgrades and Brembo brakes. The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is expected to be available at dealerships later this year with some sources reporting a price tag of around $70,000.
