1990 Legacy Overland Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen “Wolf”

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen Wolf was a version created for the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces, and this beauty has been restomodded to perfection by the folks at Legacy Overland of Greenwich, CT. The vehicle was originally designed to be purely pragmatic with no real comfort built into it, but that’s all changed. While it keeps the same body structure as the G-Wagen, the engine, transmission, and transfer case were all fully rebuilt. It also received Bilstein shocks fitted to the rebuilt suspension. the newly-restored vehicle received a comprehensive frame-off restoration that still managed to look as close to the original vehicle as possible while adding in high-end features like LED headlights, a full two-tone leather-trimmed interior (on the rear jump seats, too), premium sound, a custom air conditioning system, a black mohair soft top, and big Cooper tires. The final touches included a new Boxwood Green paint job, a black bullbar, as well as signal guards, and a bonafide snorkel. It’s the G-Wagen we’d take over any of those G63 AMGs relegated to trolling rich suburbs.
