Any serious car guy that runs through a list of their favorite fastbacks from the late 60s and early 70s is probably going to have more than few duplicates. The Firebird might have originally been rushed into production by GM execs that wanted a new version of the Trans-Am that could compete with the Mustang, but the Firebird would grow to have a life of its own.
