While we’re all for stripping a bike down to its component parts and rebuilding it from scratch, there’s something to be said for the less is more mentality when it comes to barn finds. This 1960 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLCH Survivor Bike is the perfect example of that. Recently put up for sale on eBay after touring vintage bike meetups in the Midwest, this barn find bike is an original survivor dragster from Ohio with just enough work done to it to make it run and drive safely. As seller Full Moon Cycle describes it in the auction listing, the “bike was built in early 60s with all Harley Davidson parts from various models of what was available in the time period. Khk stroker flywheels, KR rear frame modified to use rear brake, hummer forks, linkert carb, xlr exhaust pipes. It is a barn find, original survivor and I left it how I found it. I just made everything work again.” Based solely on the looks alone, we’re glad he didn’t decide to completely redo it because this is a rolling work of art.
