Ernest Hemingway is one of the most iconic men of all time. He won a Nobel and a Pulitzer. He has a minor planet, a bunch of bars, a foundation and an international writing competition named after him. He’s been the subject of plays, movies and books. While his style, machismo and literary contributions are far too long to list, he’s probably just as (in)famous for his love of the sauce. Hemingway was a straight drunkard, and Philip Greene has chronicled that in this book. It’s a collection of cocktail recipes that Hemingway consumed or inspired and commentary about the author. It’s probably the next best thing to actually sitting down at a table with the legend himself.
