The Ice Baller

The Ice Baller

At this point, we feel like we don’t need to explain the merits of spheres of ice over cubes when it comes to booze. You know you want need one, but you still don’t have one yet because any of the good ones are expensive. The cheap ones suck and make ice that looks as gnarly as your tap cubes. We thought that particular issue was because of chemicals and water purity, but apparently it’s actually because the ice freezes from the outside, in. That means bubbles can’t escape, ice is less dense, etc. But this isn’t a science lesson, we’re here to talk about the Ice Baller because it’s the answer to all of our drinking needs. Combine food grade silicone, BPA-free plastic and stainless steel with clever engineering and you end up with the shaker-esque Ice Baller. It removes air bubbles and impurities from the 60mm diameter ice balls it produces (perfect for double rocks glasses) by freezing top down, and all you have to do is pour in tap water and freeze.
